Dressing for yourself rather than another person’s gaze is very empowering

“THAT AIRLINE SAFETY LINE OF “PUT YOUR OXYGEN MASK ON
YOURSELF SO YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF OTHERS” REALLY SITS
WITH ME.”

What interests you most about your latest
projects?

I’m super excited about setting up Noelle Wolf lingerie!
Lingerie has always been so important to me as part of
my morning ritual- I always feel confident when I put on
beautifully fitting, matching lingerie, and it only takes an
extra 5 minutes to think through what you are going to
wear next to your skin. Great lingerie makes you feel well
dressed, special, and ready for your day- it’s your
foundation. Dressing for yourself rather than another
person’s gaze is very empowering.

I am planning to have my philanthropic work crossover to
my company. My work in The Joyful Heart Foundation and
The Alliance for Children’s Rights has been so rewarding.
Recently, I partnered with Dior and Asprey to raise
money for both. I am currently working on aligning Noelle
Wolf lingerie with a cause to give women the strength
they need to just take care of themselves… that airline
safety line of “put your oxygen mask on yourself so you
can take care of others” really sits with me.

Which words or phrases do you most overuse?

“Like, no way, and sure” are all big parts of my vernacular as an American.

What is the last thing you read or saw that has stayed with you?

A Charles Bukowski poem, The Laughing Heart, it is filled with hope but married with Bukowski’s unapologetic honesty. I love the opening line of “your life is your life”.

Who is your favourite fictional character?

Lisbeth Salander from “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”. She kicks some ass… is smart, sexy, overcomes adversity and the cards life threw at her… She reinvented herself in such an engaging way. And let’s not forget Kate from “Taming of the Shrew”. It’s always been my favourite Shakespeare play and I love how Kate rejects marriage and tradition and is so hot-tempered and razor tongued.

What pieces from the Noelle Wolf collection do you most respond to? Your favorites?

I love the whole collection (of course!) but the pieces I think I will be wearing most are the Soul Japanese leavers lace bralette and the Mist Swiss embroidery bandeau bra– always with the matching briefs or thong. These really represent the different facets of being a woman for me, sometimes I want to put on something softer and more subtle and other times I want something that’s making an impact.

MORE SUBTLE AND OTHER TIMES I WANT SOMETHING
THAT’S MAKING AN IMPACT.”

There is a personal
power in choosing your
matching lingerie
carefully every morning

Aside from your mother, which woman inspires you the most?

My daughter, she never ceases to amaze me.

Who would play you in the film of your life so far?

Jessica Chastain, Lucille Ball, Rooney Mara, or Grace Kelly

Where do you find inspiration?

The women around me. I’m so lucky to have a brilliant network of people around me who not only inspire me when creating Noelle Wolf lingerie but also provide me with a brilliant community to be part of. Friends like Tracey Cunningham, Eva Hermes, Amanda Ghost, Julie Bowen, Sharon McConochie, and Daniela Amavia.

How would you define your relationship to your body? And your mind?

We fight a lot, the three of us, but we are learning to accept one another.

Do your clothes, specifically underwear, hold power for you?

Yes absolutely. I really feel there is a personal power in choosing your matching lingerie carefully each morning. I also like to pick my lingerie first every day and then find the outfit to go with it. My lingerie gives me an inner confidence and makes me feel empowered to take on any situation my day presents.
